JOIN THE REAL LIFE CHATROOM!! It was the dawn of the Third Age of Fankind. The LOTNA Project was a dream given form. Its goal - to create a place where science fiction fans could meet up. It is a port of call, a home away from home for Trekkers, Whovians, Browncoats, 'Scapers and more. Sci-Fi fans chatting, watching sci-fi, playing games and more under a single roof on a planet spinning at a thousand miles an hour, all alone in the night. It can be a silly place but is our last, best hope for S …
DON'T JUST WATCH SCI-FI ON TV. LIVE THE ADVENTURES YOURSELF WITH LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAY (LARP). Do you fancy travelling through the Stargate? Have you wanted to save the planet from Cybermen or Daleks? Live Action Role Playing, known as LARP, is stepping into a character's shoes and literally living the actions and consequences that they bring upon themselves. There's no computer consoles or tabletop gaming, this is as real an environment as we can make it - you're really out there fighting monst …

Welcome to Chichester Readers; a group of people who love books. The general idea is to meet every month or so, all having read the same book and to have a bit of a natter over a glass or two of wine. Marvellous. So far we have read: 1) Julia Stuart's 'The Matchmaker of Perigord' 2) 'The Memory Keeper's Daughter' by Kim Edwards 3) 'The White Tiger' by Aravind Adiga 4) 'Boiling a Frog' by Christopher Brookmyre 5) 'Night Train to Lisbon' by Pascal Mercier 6) 'The Irresistible Inheritance of …
This is a proposal to use astrological typology to form groups of people attempting to formulate and achieve a common goal. The theory is that the capacities of single individuals are defined by their strengths and weaknesses. In theory, then, a correct match of individual weakness and strengths will produce a group of optimum capacity to achieve goals: strengths being contributed by other individuals where weaknesses impair the effectiveness of a single person. In other words, a “well design …

FX FILMMAKERS FORUM THE PURPOSE OF THE GROUP: This group has been formed to serve as a central hub for those interested in shooting short movies in the sci-fi, action and horror genres. This group is also for those who may not be leading FX based projects but want to become involved with one. So this group is also useful for VFX artists, Makeup artists, those working with Practical FX, etc. This group also has a minor function as a hub for owners of the Panasonic GH2/GH3 cameras since I own a GH …

This is a group for anyone who reads, watches or writes Science Fiction & Fantasy (everything from Star Wars to Philip K Dick to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and beyond, my own tastes are nothing if not catholic). The aim is to get together a group of like minds over a few pints of real ale (or whatever takes your fancy) and have lots of trivial chats about things related to the SF and Fantasy genres. Hopefully some arguments will break-out but nothing too serious (or will lead to fisticuffs). Also …
We meet at least twice a month to discuss all things Science/Sci-Fi from gadgets to writing. You will find us very approachable and friendly. Everyone welcome, no need to come to each meeting (we meet on the first Monday evening and fourth Saturday at 11am) each month. We often arrange film viewings if there's something many of us wish to watch and then discuss afterwards. We have arranged trips in the past to the Science Museum in London and plan to do more this year. Come along and see for you …
